Sarah Wilson MacMillan’s singing career spans three continents. Her Engagements include opera, concert, and solo recitals.
Ms. Macmillans’s solo recital debut in South America’s Teatro Municipal with Argentinian pianist Hector Valdovino was met with critical acclaim. She was presented by the British Community in Sao Paulo, Brazil in a solo recital at La Cultura Inglesa, which was broadcast throughout the region.
In the United Kingdom, her appearances include a recital at the American Church in London with English pianist Sheelah Gallwey and members of the Royal Opera House Orchestra. She performed in operas and recitals throughout the United Kingdom, in Aberdeen, Scotland, in Great Yarmouth and in Cornwall. Her London engagements included the Queen of the Night from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Blonde in The Abduction from the Seraglio, IIia in Idomeneo and Mrs. Heartmelt in the Impresario.
She has been presented in operatic concerts across North America and in the United Kingdom. In the United States, she has performed in recitals, chamber music concerts and opera. Her repertoire is eclectic and diverse spanning works of J.S. Bach through Villalobos to Libby Larsen.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from Occidental College in California and graduate studies at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music, Missouri and Silver Lake College, Wisconsin. Member of National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Church Music Association of America.
